Part 7 [The Switcheroo!]

Next question:

After Jesus had appeared to the people, and was rejected by the chief priests, crucified, and then raised from the dead by the Father; who did God consider to be the TRUE Israel, and Judah at that point?

Were the natural Jews still considered the holders of the birthright at that point? Was natural Israel [who had already been scattered among the nations] still considered, by God, to be His true chosen people?

NO! God did a switcheroo!

At the beginning of the age of Pentecost, when God sent Jesus to His people, both the priesthood [of Passover], and the natural, Jewish people rejected Him as Messiah. In that very instant, they became the "bad figs" of Judah, that Ezekiel spoke about, and they were disqualified [in the natural] as being God's TRUE "birthright" people in the natural [according to the promise God spoke to Abraham]! That is why God sent the Roman army to massacre them in A.D. 70! Once the Messiah had come the first time [in the natural], through the pure line of Judah, the Jews were dispersed right along with the rest of their brethren, the other 10 tribes of Israel.

So, at that time; who became the NEW Judah and Israel in God's sight?

Well... it so happens that Judah had some "good figs", also. The good figs represented the 12 disciples, along with all of the other "elect" people who had been chosen [by God] to form His church [during the coming age of Pentecost]. As it is written,

Ephesians 4
11And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.
12His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church),
13[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

Me: These people were the folks Jesus had chosen to become His true priesthood, and this priesthood would no longer be based on a person's natural lineage, or race, but on the promise of God's sovereignty, and the foundation of agape love in Christ Jesus.

So, if God's elect were to be the new Judah, then who would fill the role of being His true spiritual Israel? For the answer to that question, all we have to do is go back to the very same scripture chapter we just read in Ephesians:

Ephesians 4:10
He Who descended is the [very] same as He Who also has ascended high above all the heavens, that He [His presence] might fill all things (the whole universe, from the lowest to the highest).

Me: That's right... WHEN CHRIST JESUS RAISED FROM THE DEAD; HE FILLED THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE! ALL MEN WERE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD'S DOWN-PAYMENT, AND IN THAT MOMENT, ALL PEOPLE BECAME GOD'S TRUE SPIRITUAL ISRAEL! This was all confirmed, and culminated on the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Ghost descended on the 120 [the men gathered from every tribe and nation on earth], and tongues of fire were seen above their heads, and they spoke in a new language [understandable to everyone who heard it]. On that day, the age of Pentecost was ushered in, and the age of Passover ended!

You know guys... I have taught for years [since the beginning] that because all men have the pilot light of Christ's Spirit lit inside of them now, they actually all then qualify as being true Israelites [from the tribe of Judah]; especially when you consider the fact that Jesus Christ's natural lineage was from that chosen line. So, in reality, having Christ Jesus within us really makes us the natural Seed of Abraham [in a way], just as much as His presence in us makes us each a part of the spiritual Israel!

Do you guys think the Christian Zionists, and the natural Zionist Jews are going to like what I just said? Heh heh heh!

NOPE... THEY AREN'T GONNA LIKEY! Did they like it when Jesus, the new high priest of Pentecost, told them that God could make the stones into Abraham's true children? Did they receive Jesus when He went and helped the Samaritan woman [the enemies of the Jews]?

NO! They asked Him why He was communing with her, and when they heard Him blaspheme the law of Moses, by declaring Himself to be equal with God [making God His Father], THEY BEAT HIM, AND HUNG HIM ON A CROSS [murdering Him]!

No... old spiritual habits die hard, just as old orders, and old ways of thinking don't want to adapt to new mindsets, or relinquish their power, and authority to them! Wasn't that what the real problem was with the scribes and pharisees? The truth is; it wasn't because Jesus dishonoured Moses, that made the Jews want to kill Jesus; it was because they were going to lose their place of authority, and preeminence among the people! As it is written,

John 12:42-43 (Amplified Bible)

⁴²And yet [in spite of all this] [the works and miracles performed by Jesus] many even of the leading men (the authorities and the nobles) believed and trusted in Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, for fear that [if they should acknowledge Him] they would be expelled from the synagogue; ⁴³For they loved the approval and the praise and the glory that come from men [instead of and] more than the glory that comes from God. [They valued their credit with men more than their credit with God.]

Me: So, what do I say to those people who do not want to relinquish the natural birthright, or the scepter of Christ to all men, but would rather hoard the promises of God unto themselves, based on their natural lineage, and racial purity? What do I say to the people who wanted to stay in 1st gear, instead of shifting into 2nd? Why, the same thing I say to those zealots who now want to stay in 2nd gear, instead of shifting into 3rd:

TOUGH!

SORRY GUYS... EVERYBODY IS GOING TO GET A PIECE OF GOD'S "PROMISE PIE", AND ANY SELFISH MINDED PERSON THAT DOESN'T LIKE IT CAN KISS MY ASS - MY PENTECOST ASS, THAT IS! HEH HEH HEH! God changed gears [from 1st to 2nd gear], and left them with egg on their faces! Well... I've got some news for you present day zealots... HE'S DOING IT, AGAIN! IF YOU CAN'T FIND 'EM - GRIND 'EM!

So, there you have it! As the world entered the age of Pentecost [33 A.D. to 1993 A.D.], God appointed a new priesthood in the world [the church of Judah], along with a new Israel - ALL PEOPLE [all nations; both Jew and Gentile]!

There is, also, a second part to this saga - a negative part. When the Jews [bad figs] of Passover refused the new order of Pentecost, and murdered Jesus, not only did they lose their NATURAL birthright, but they were then seen by God as being vessels in His left hand; instruments that He would use in the antichrist mode, to bring His wrath, and purification upon His spiritual Israel [all people] in the future. In the next part of this writing, we will examine how God is doing that very thing [to this very day], and what the purpose was for doing it!

Yes sir... this very thing is happening again - right now! This world is shifting into a new gear, again, and the present religious age Pentecost is doing the same thing that the age of Passover did - REFUSE THE NEW AGE [THIS TIME THE NEW AGE IS CALLED, "TABERNACLES"]!

History repeats itself, guys! We are in the middle of a new transition, a new phase, and the old order is not wanting to relinquish their authority - ONCE AGAIN!

Part 8 [The Corrupted Age of Pentecost]

And so mankind entered into the second age of God's plan for His creation - the age of Pentecost. Now along with the new age, God ratified a new covenant; a covenant that was not a two party agreement [as the first covenant had been]. This second covenant did not depend on man at all, but rested solely on the strength, and power of God Himself, and the righteousness that would be revealed IN MAN, through the sovereignty of God, and by Him resurrecting Christ Jesus from the dead. Whereas, the age of Passover had shown man's flesh to be like a plot of dead ground [with no life of it's own]; this new age; the age of Pentecost, would be the age of the planting of God's Seed of life [Christ] in that desolate plot [man's flesh].

Let's recap what happened to creation, up until the beginning of the age of Pentecost:

During the first age of God - the age of Passover [from Adam to A.D.33]; Elohim God formed man in iniquity, and placed man in the sinful state of living in a flesh and blood body. After hundreds of years of living in that "finite" state of sin, man's unrighteousness increased in the earth, until it became obvious that he needed to be delivered from that wretched state of death, otherwise, he would eventually destroy himself. So, God called out Israel as His chosen people [from among all the nations of the earth], fulfilling the promise He had given to Abraham, saying,

"I will make you the father of many nations, and I will make the number of your descendants as numerous as the stars of the sky. Through your Seed, shall all the nations of the earth be blessed!"

Also, during this time period, God called out Moses to be His lawgiver, and through Him, the Lord gave the people of Israel the commandments that were required to please Him [the first covenant], in order to provide His people a way in which they could attain righteousness before Him - by observing, and keeping His law. God knew, in His infinite wisdom, that it was necessary for the people to be given an opportunity to redeem themselves before Him [even though He also knew they were not capable of keeping His law], because if He had not let them try to justify themselves through their own works, they would claim, later on [after God had delivered them], that THEY COULD HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED, AND MADE RIGHTEOUS ON THEIR OWN - WITHOUT HIS HELP! So, God appointed a priesthood under Moses, from the tribe of Levi, and ratified the two party covenant through Moses, saying [in Exodus],

¹²And the Lord said to Moses, Come up to Me into the mountain and be there, and I will give you tables of stone, with the law and the commandments which I have written that you may teach them.

And then He added this in Leviticus,

Leviticus 18:5
You shall therefore keep My statutes and My ordinances which, if a man does, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.

Me: This first covenant of promise was a TWO party covenant, because it did not depend on God alone, but on God, and man alike! However; when God had spoken the promise to Abraham [400 odd years earlier], He had already recognized, beforehand, that man could only be delivered by the power of the Holy Ghost! So, the law was given for the purpose of pointing out man's frailty, powerlessness, and weakness, AND NOT AS THE MEANS BY WHICH HE WOULD BE DELIVERED FROM SIN. God saying later [through Paul],

Romans 3:20
For no person will be justified (made righteous, acquitted, and judged acceptable) in His sight by observing the works prescribed by the Law. For [the real function of] the Law is to make men recognize and be conscious of sin [not mere perception, but an acquaintance with sin which works toward repentance, faith, and holy character].

Me: Anyway... I'm getting off the subject. During the age of Passover; God fully established man's wickedness, weakness, and futility, and He made the people clearly understand, through the law, that they were in need of a deliverer [Christ]! What's more; God used the very same law that had pointed out man's transgressions [along with the Word of the prophets of that era], to also serve as tutors, and governors to the people [to serve both them, and the future ages that would follow]. God did this to show His elect, through allegorical types and patterns, how His Christ would come, and in what capacity He would appear [the law and the prophets foretold that Christ would appear TWICE in the future]. This era of Passover was especially important to Jesus, because it was a pattern for Him, also [especially Moses], and gave Him a perfect allegorical picture of what He would fulfill, in reality, as the high priest of Pentecost, and as Christ's first appearing. As it is written in Hebrews,

Hebrews 3:5
And Moses certainly was faithful in the administration of all God's house [but it was only] as a ministering servant. [In his entire ministry he was but] a testimony to the things which were to be spoken [the revelations to be given afterward in Christ].

So to sum things up:

During the age of Passover [1st gear - Adam to the time of Jesus - A.D. 33. This era is called "THE WAY" - the allegorical outer court in the temple; the 30 fold age]:

[1] Moses, from the tribe of Levi, was the high priest during the age of Passover.

[2] King David, from the natural tribe of Judah, represented the Messianic King of Judah AND Israel.

[3] Israel was reckoned as God's NATURAL chosen people, according to their natural lineage [as the natural Seed of Abraham].

[4] And the rest of the heathen nations were used as God's antichrist vessels of destruction, whom God used to try Israel with [Assyria, Egypt, Philistia, the Canaanites, etc.]. These nations were used, by God, for many negative purposes, one of which, was to divide the House of Israel into two separate peoples: Judah, and Israel [the remaining ten tribes]. In the end, though, God only uses negative circumstances, as a means to accomplish good things, and positive outcomes! Remember how God raised up Pharaoh to hold His people captive, but then He delivered His people from Egypt in triumphant victory [for a good purpose]? God only uses evil for good purposes, the way a farmer only uses fertilizer to help his crops grow! God likes to bowl: He sets up the pins, knocks them down, and then sets them up again! Who can say to God, "What are you doing?!"

Heh heh heh!

That brings us to the age of Pentecost. God changed gears, and shuffled the deck [creating many problems in the minds of wicked men - to this very day]!

During the age of Pentecost [2nd gear - A.D. 33 - A.D. 1993. This era is called "THE TRUTH" - the allegorical holy place in the temple; the 60 fold age]:

[1] Jesus Christ was both king and high priest during the age of Pentecost.

[2] Judah, and the rest of their brethren tribes: Israel, entered this 2nd age [the age of Pentecost] divided, because of Solomon's idolatry [as we have discussed previously]. During the Passover age; the natural tribe of Judah was left in tact [in order for the Christ Seed to come through a pure, Messianic natural lineage of Jacob], while the rest of the other ten tribes of Israel had already been scattered throughout the whole world. Later on, at the very end of the age of Passover, the Jews [natural Judah] refused to believe Jesus was the Christ, and crucified Him; thus, they were disqualified, losing their status, before God, as the true "Judah". Right at that moment; the natural Jews became spiritual gentiles in God's eyes [they became His enemies]! Then, after the age of Pentecost had unfolded, and was drawing to a close; the natural Jews frantically stole the birthright of the lost tribes of Joseph [Palestine 1947], by usurping their brethren, and making the whole world believe the lie that they [the Jews], and they alone, were the sole heirs of Abraham's promise. These natural Jews represented the "bad figs" of the house of Judah - as they still do to this day! This attempt, by Judah, of trying to steal the birthright is seen in a old testament pattern, when Esau sought to regain the birthright from his father, Isaac, [with tears], but was rejected [he had sold it to Jacob for a bowl of red, lentil stew]. So, the question is this: If Judah was disqualified; who did God anoint as the true Judah, when the age of Passover had ended, and the age of Pentecost was being ushered in? As I said above... the apostles, and church were now considered to be TRUE JUDAH in the eyes of the Lord! They represented the "Good figs" that the prophets spoke of, because they believed the Messiah [when He appeared the first time], and received the promised down payment of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost [the planting of the Christ Seed]. It was on the DAY of Pentecost, in A.D. 33, that the AGE of Pentecost began!

And who did God reckon to be His true Israel at that point?

[3] Israel was now considered to be ALL MEN [the SPIRITUAL house of Israel], because Christ Jesus had filled all things [all men], after He had been raise from the dead. This can be seen [in type] through comparing all men to their NATURAL counterpart, the lost house of natural Israel, because, like Joseph, they [the whole world] were lost to their brethren, also. The world did not know that they were now the true spiritual Israel [in the eyes of God, that is]!

So then... who were the vessels of dishonour after the gear change?

[4] Now this is cool! Remember in the paragraph above, how I said that the natural heathen nations were being used, by God, as antichrist vessels of dishonour, to try Israel during the age of Passover? WELL GUESS WHAT? Since Jesus had been raised into all flesh [at the dawn of the new age of Pentecost] God now considered those gentile nations to be the true SPIRITUAL Israel, whereas, the natural Jews - the very people who held the scepter during the age of Passover - sold their birthright [by killing Jesus], and were now considered, by God, to be the heathen nations of antichrist - THEY BECAME THE SPIRITUAL VESSELS OF DISHONOUR DURING THE AGE OF PENTECOST! Now here's the kicker! Notice that I said the natural Jews were vessels of dishonour and antichrist "TO GOD"? Do you know why I said, "TO GOD"? Because during the entire age of Pentecost, the world, as a whole, did NOT KNOW that God had switched gears! They still believed that God's reckoning of Israel was based on a person's NATURAL LINEAGE! So for 99% of the christian world, THE NATURAL JEWS WERE STILL CONSIDERED TO BE GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE - ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE AGE OF PENTECOST! And if that weren't bad enough; not only did the world think that the tribe of Judah was to be reckoned, by God, as His chosen people according to their human descent, BUT THEY EVEN BELIEVED THAT THE TRIBE OF JUDAH [THE NATURAL JEWS] WERE THE ENTIRE HOUSE OF ISRAEL [they believed the lie the Jews dished out to them - hook, line, and sinker]!

Thankfully, at the end of the age of Pentecost; God elected a small remnant of people, from every nation of men, who would not believe that lie. To these Overcomers; God spoke the Word of life; the Gospel of the Kingdom, and they will not believe, nor adhere to the lies of man!

So, guess what happened to the church [during the age of Pentecost]? After all, the church started out the Pentecost age as God's new spiritual priesthood, and were handed the keys to the kingdom - by God Himself, being put in charge of teaching God's creation the truth of the new covenant Gospel [Christ in all people]. THEY SOLD THEIR BIRTHRIGHT, TOO [JUST LIKE THEIR NATURAL JEWISH COMPADRES DID BEFORE THEM [IN THE AGE OF PASSOVER]! So why then did God not just use them as His priesthood in the age of Tabernacles?

BECAUSE, AS TIME WENT ON DURING THE PENTECOST AGE OF CORRUPTION, THE CHURCH BECAME MORE AND MORE CORRUPTED BY THEIR LOVE OF MONEY, AND THEY SOLD THEIR BIRTHRIGHT - JUST AS THE PRIESTHOOD OF PASSOVER HAD DONE 2,000 YEARS EARLIER! When the priesthood of Pentecost [the organized church age] worshiped, and idolized Jesus' flesh, and honoured the corrupt tribe of Judah as the true Israel of God; they forfeited their birthright, along with their priestly position before God - just as their predecessors [the natural tribe of Judah] had done 2,000 years earlier! So in effect, the natural Jews were disqualified for REJECTING Jesus [at the close of Passover], while the church was disqualified for IDOLIZING Him [at the end of Pentecost]! By idolizing Jesus, and refusing to listen to the Words of God's elect remnant, the Church became a harlot - as well as an abomination, which caused the desolation of the people [just as Jesus said they would]. As a result of their wickedness, God took their position of authority, and handed it to another [just as He had earlier stripped king Saul of His kingdom, and had given it to David]. Then, to ad injury to insult, God uprooted them, and placed them right next to the natural tribe of Judah [whom they so dearly loved, and admired], to be suitable partners with them, as God's vessels of antichrist, to be implemented by God, as instruments of purification, destruction, wrath, and indignation!

Don't believe me? Go to any church, and read these truths to them. Go to any religious board on the internet, and read them these writings. You'll find out real quick what I am talking about! But God has declared, and it is written [concerning that religious church-age mindset],

Revelation 18:3-11,

³For all nations have drunk the wine of her passionate unchastity, and the rulers and leaders of the earth have joined with her in committing fornication (idolatry), and the businessmen of the earth have become rich with the wealth of her excessive luxury and wantonness.
⁴I then heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out from her, my people, so that you may not share in her sins, neither participate in her plagues.
⁵For her iniquities (her crimes and transgressions) are piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her wickedness and [her] crimes [and calls them up for settlement].
⁶Repay to her what she herself has paid [to others] and double [her doom] in accordance with what she has done. Mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed [for others].
⁷To the degree that she glorified herself and reveled in her wantonness [living deliciously and luxuriously], to that measure impose on her torment and anguish and tears and mourning. Since in her heart she boasts, I am not a widow; as a queen [on a throne] I sit, and I shall never see suffering or experience sorrow--

Me: The church teachers in the age of Pentecost were famous for preaching the "Prosperity gospel", which totally contradicted the Word of God, by teaching the people that suffering, and hardship were "not of God" [because Jesus had suffered FOR THEM], and that men could avoid these pitfalls, if they relied on their own human resources, tithed to their church, and strongly relied on God. Then, if some poor soul continued going through these "trials"[after diligently following this church doctrine], the Pastor would tell them that they weren't giving enough, or that their faith wasn't strong enough [they were sinning too much]! Little did the people know, that IT WAS GOD WHO CAUSED THAT TRIBULATION AND HARDSHIP IN THEIR LIVES, in order to make them strong through suffering! As it is written,

1 Corinthians 15:43
It [the Word] is sown in dishonor and humiliation; it is raised in honor and glory. It is sown in infirmity and weakness; it is resurrected in strength and endued with power.

And again,

Matthew 24:9
Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

Me: Yes indeed... tribulation comes for the Word's sake! So, the very thing that Pentecost's religious teachers told the people, was the exact opposite of the truth! That had to have made it hard for Christians during that era! The preachers were telling them that they shouldn't be going through tribulations, and hardships, while the Lord would be dishing it out at the same time! Next verse in Revelations 18,

⁸So shall her plagues (afflictions, calamities) come thick upon her in a single day, pestilence and anguish and sorrow and famine; and she shall be utterly consumed (burned up with fire), for mighty is the Lord God Who judges her. ⁹And the rulers and leaders of the earth who joined her in her immorality (idolatry) and luxuriated with her will weep and beat their breasts and lament over her when they see the smoke of her conflagration.

Me: Verse 9 mentions how natural Judah [rulers and leaders during Passover], and spiritual Judah [Church of Pentecost during Pentecost] join together in their immorality, and idolatry!

¹⁰They will stand a long way off, in terror of her torment, and they will cry, Woe and alas, the great city, the mighty city, Babylon! In one single hour how your doom (judgment) has overtaken you!

¹¹And earth's businessmen [church leaders; flock-fleecers] will weep and grieve over her because no one buys their freight-cargo [false teachings, and birthright lies] any more.

Me: And just what are the ramifications and consequences of Judah's huge lie, and Israel's spiritual blindness, and idolatry, which they suffered during the age of Pentecost?

Let's look into it! Let's recap!

There are basically two horrid consequences that have occurred as a result of Israel's blindness:

[1] The church [the TRUE Judah of Pentecost] did not know they were Judah, but instead, they kissed the natural Jew's feet, and sent them all of their money [the church of Pentecost sent large sums of money to the Jews; blindly thinking that they were God's anointed people]. It didn't start out that way, as the early disciples, and first century Christians knew the truth, but then as time went on; corruption, greed, and lies saturated the church of Pentecost, and caused the blindness that now exists among the present day, traditional Christians of this world. However, this was all planned by God, so that man's evil nature would wax worse and worse, and cause the man of sin to be revealed! Listen to any present day, mainstream, christian church pastor, or watch any televangelist preach... THEY HAVE GIVEN MOCH-DISRAEL FREE REIGN TO DO ANYTHING THEY SEE FIT TO DO! THEY EVEN CONDONE THE MURDER OF THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE [I wonder who's next, after they are totally annihilated by the Jews?], AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT; THEY [THE ZIONIST CHURCH OF GOD, AS WELL AS THE NATURAL JEWS] ARE EVEN TALKING ABOUT RETURNING TO ANIMAL SACRIFICES, AND REVERTING BACK TO ALL OF THE RITUALISTIC ORDINANCES OF THE FIRST COVENANT, ONCE JESUS RETURNS! THEY ALL WANT TO GO BACK TO THE OLD AGE OF PASSOVER - ONCE THE NATURAL TEMPLE IS FINISHED IN OLD JERUSALEM!

Unbelievable, isn't it? Talk about going into another gear - INSTEAD OF SHIFTING ON INTO 3RD GEAR; THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST WENT INTO REVERSE! I guess the blood of Christ isn't good enough... they want to mingle the blood of bulls and goats in with their idol's blood! So, again, because of the greed, and idolatry of the church during the age of Pentecost, God assigned them a place right beside the natural Jews - AS VESSELS WORKING AGAINST HIS CHRIST!

[2] The second consequence of this lie is that the rest of the world doesn't know the secret mystery of Israel's blindness. The whole world is blinded to this fact: ALL MEN are NOW the true Israel! But instead, they, too, [at least in this country] kiss the natural Jew's feet [because they, too, have been told, by the church, that the natural Jews are the true Israel of God], and they, too, provide large sums of money for Disrael - through our government taxing them as citizens of the U.S. [yep; millions of our tax dollars go to Disrael's Palestine annually - if not billions]!

So, what have these idols, false belief systems, and false doctrines done to our world?

Turn on the television, and watch the news... look at the policies of our government... go to the doctor, and look at the bill you are given for their services... look at the results of the last 3 or 4 wars we have fought... go to church, and listen to the dribble that is being taught in the pulpit... look at the amount of your taxes!

LOOK AT THE STATE OF THE WORLD! There [right before your eyes] is the result of what happens to a nation that cleaves to idols, and promotes self-centered greed as it's society's foundation! THE AGE OF PENTECOST SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED THE AGE OF GREED!

To put it mildly... the age of Pentecost was a dark era in the restoration of man; it was spiritual nighttime [as we discussed earlier in this writing]. Man trusted in idols, and worshiped Jesus as greater than themselves; as a deity who possessed a godly nature which they could never attain to! Instead of seeing Jesus as the prototype of what they were to become, they saw Him as the deity they could never be!

Man failed miserably during the age of Pentecost, and if you will just take a gander at the present condition in our world [at every level], then you can clearly see what I am talking about! The proof's in the pudding! Man has reached the pinnacle of heart idolatry, and soulish corruption! The third chapter of 2 Timothy sums that age up perfectly:

2 Timothy 3
¹BUT UNDERSTAND this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].
²For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.
³[They will be] without natural [human] affection (callous and inhuman), relentless (admitting of no truce or appeasement); [they will be] slanderers (false accusers, troublemakers), intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good.
⁴[They will be] treacherous [betrayers], rash, [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God.
⁵For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].

Me: But fear not! God is about to change gears again, and this time, IT IS GOING TO BE DAYLIGHT OUTSIDE, AND INSIDE! Heh heh heh!
